- Voice Data.If you use voice sessions, your speech is processed using a third-party speech recognition service (Deepgram) to convert it to text. Eli's spoken responses are generated using a third-party text-to-speech service (ElevenLabs). Audio is processed in real time and is not stored by these providers beyond what is necessary to deliver the service.
- Payment Information. Subscription payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. In-app purchase management and paywall functionality are provided by RevenueCat and Superwall. We do not directly collect or store your credit card number or banking information.

- Usage Data. We collect information about how you use the App, such as session frequency, feature usage, and interaction timestamps.

- We do not collect contacts, photos, or other media from your device unless you explicitly provide them within a session.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve Eli. Your session and conversation data is processed by AI models to generate personalized responses, reflections, and insights.
- Maintain your account. We use account information to authenticate you and manage your subscription.
- Communicate with you. We may send you service-related notices, updates, and support responses.
- Ensure security and prevent abuse. We use technical data to monitor for unauthorized access and maintain the integrity of the App.
- Improve our services. We may use aggregated, de-identified data to understand usage patterns and improve the App experience.
We do not use your personal data to serve advertisements. Eli is ad-free.
How Your Data Is Processed by AI
Eli uses AI language models provided by Anthropic (Claude) to generate responses. These models are accessed through Amazon Web Services (AWS) Bedrock.
- Your conversation data is sent to AWS Bedrockto process your requests and generate AI responses. Deep sessions use Claude Opus (Anthropic's most advanced model) and daily reflections use Claude Haiku (a faster model for lighter interactions). AWS Bedrock processes this data in accordance with AWS's data processing terms and our Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with AWS.
- Anthropic does not use your data to train its models when accessed through AWS Bedrock. Your conversations are not used to improve or fine-tune the underlying AI models.
- Eli maintains a personalized memory profile for each user. This profile is updated after sessions to improve the quality and continuity of your experience. It is stored in our database and is included as context when generating AI responses.
- Scripture recommendations are generated using AI-powered semantic search — matching the emotional and therapeutic context of your conversation, not simple keyword matching.
- We do not sell your conversation data to any third party.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Supabase, a cloud-hosted database platform built on Amazon Web Services. We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
- Row-level security policies on our database.
- Authentication and access controls to limit data access to authorized services.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. You use Eli at your own risk.
Data Retention
- Account and conversation data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and service improvement.
